Executive Council

Shannon Gaulding

Born and raised in the South, Shannon Gaulding moved to Los Angeles in 1989 with nothing but a dream of working in the entertainment business and a forty-dollar car.

She worked in the music business, producing and executive producing music videos.  As the music business began to collapse she shifted to the movie business, starting over as an assistant and eventually becoming a senior executive for Sony Studios where she worked for eleven years.  While there she worked on Sam Raimi’s SPIDER-MAN franchise, THE GRUDGE, STRANGER THAN FICTION, SWAT, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, DEAR JOHN, ACT OF VALOR and many other pictures.  Shannon loves listening to dinosaur rock and forcing her kids to watch classic movies.

Shannon is an active participant in numerous non-profits.  In addition to her long-standing involvement with FROM THE HEART, where she volunteers with her family, Shannon cooks meals for homeless clients at St. Francis, mentors young filmmakers through The Producers’ Guild and is active as a Leader and Committee Member in both Cub Scouts of America and Boy Scouts of America.

Shannon is an avid supporter of many causes.  Her charitable giving includes the Pandora Project, the LA Food Bank, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St. Francis, World Vision, PETA, Families First, Beit T’Shuvah, Scouting For All as well as Any Soldier.  She is a Founding Sponsor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Foundation.
